The Illegal Collective Bargaining Agreement Signed the Night Before the Recall Election
On November 7th, 2022, the night before the recall election, knowing they were more than likely going to lose, the corrupt (now recalled) Board of Directors, the Firefighters Union Local 2665, and the former Fire Chief signed a new collective bargaining agreement despite knowing people were demanding change.
This agreement gave more power and money to the employees, took away management rights from the new Board, and solidified many of the overtime & sick time abuses and unethical practices.
Additionally, this contract is arguably illegal due to many violation to Chapter 610 Conduct of Public Business, also know as the Sunshine Law, & Chapter 432 Contracts and Contractual Relationship. As a result the New Robertson Board of Directors sued.
Knowing the chance of a win in court are slim to none, the Robertson Firefighters have requested to negotiate a new contract rather than the case go to court.
The New Robertson Board has agreed to honor the firefighters old labor contract and as a result the employees have NOT LOST ONE DIME of pay or benefits.
